Haulyn is a technology platform connecting Customers with independent Providers for transportation and delivery. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — such as your name, email address, phone number, password, and (for Providers) identity, license, vehicle, and insurance details used for verification.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. Haulyn receives limited details such as transaction status and the last four digits of a card; it does not store full card numbers on its own systems.
- Communications — messages you send to support or to other users through the Service, and feedback or ratings you submit.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — how you interact with the Service, including pages and features used, Jobs requested or completed, and timestamps.
- Device & log data — IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and similar technical information.
- Location data — precise or approximate location used to match Jobs, route Providers, and enable live tracking, where you have granted the necessary permissions.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service, including matching Customers and Providers and enabling live tracking.
- To process payments and provider payouts and to maintain transaction records.
- To verify identity and, for Providers, to conduct background checks and confirm documentation.
- To communicate with you about Jobs, account activity, support, and service updates, including by SMS where you have provided a number.
- To maintain safety and security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Between Customers and Providers — limited details needed to complete a Job (for example, pickup/drop-off information, first name, and contact routing).
- With service providers — including Stripe (payments and payouts), and mapping, messaging/SMS, hosting, and verification providers, who process information on our behalf.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the public, or Haulyn.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Haulyn does not sell your personal information.
5. Payments & Stripe
Payment processing and provider payouts are handled by Stripe, Inc. and, where applicable, Stripe Connect. Information you submit for payments is collected and processed by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Stripe's privacy notice to understand how it handles your data.
6. Location data
Location data enables core features such as matching, routing, and live tracking. You can control location permissions through your device settings; disabling location may limit or prevent certain features from working.
